We "might" be able to eliminate that column all together ~ the terms of service is the only thing in it and that is also found in the Help Desk area. Munchaab tagging Munchie on this one. No hurry on it, just a random thought. Something for you to tinker with in your spare time. () It be gone...

What is a "BBCode" that shows up when one is making a post? Also, the "Thread Summary" . Quite a distraction, takes up space, and is (imo) annoying. Does anyone find it useful?
BBC shows strict forum code. Preview shows in normal language. Note: When inserting pictures from Cloudinary you can click from BBCode to Preview and then see the picture. (Cloudinary normally displays in code...but will show in the post as the proper picture.) This is just one of the wee niggles we're getting used to. Remember, this forum host is FREE and we want to KEEP the forum free for all our members. The old saying goes ~ "Ya' get what ya' pay for" ~ we're NOT paying for any of this so we have to get the next best thing. We do our best. Yes, I will learn to live with it. It gets easier each day. Also learning new things each day.
I just thought that maybe you could delete the Thread Summary, but if we are stuck with it, it is a small price to pay for having a forum again.

I don't understand what you're calling the 'thread summary.' Where is it located?

I don't understand what you're calling the 'thread summary.' Where is it located? Daj, when I "Quote" someone to Reply to their post, that's when I see it.
The "Thread Summary" is just after where I am typing now, and above the "Shout Box".

Ah! Hey ~ it's a nice feature ~ keeps you from having to bail out of a reply to find something in the thread which your reply might depend. Also, it could be useful if you wanted to copy/paste something from the thread...again being able to do so without bailing from the reply before it's finished or opening another tab. It's part of the forum software, so just ignore it ~ just like you prolly do with the Shoutbox showing on the same page as your reply post.

"the glass is half full" type of people aren't you? Well, so am I most of the time. I WILL adjust. Although I may be visiting your bar more often, so you might want to stock up on Brandy Alexanders. Just in case.

What does this sentence mean, when I am making a post?
"The thread in which you are posting has no effects applied to it."

And yes ~ It's more productive to find the gold nuggets than bitch about the mud when you have no solution.

THANK YOU, VERY MUCH.
OOPS, I was doing computer drafting and had the caps on.
Edit: I meant to quote the efforts to get rid of the Menu column.

It was a simple fix ~ Munchaab deleted a plugin that we obviously didn't need.

Is it possible to Bookmark a Thread after I have visited it a few times?
I discovered what the Bookmark was all about when I posted the Prophecy Vids Thread. Since then I've tried to bookmark a couple other threads, but without success.

In the drop-down-combo box there is the option to 'Bookmark' Hmm. The Actions drop down menu doesn't work for me. I see it, but clicking on it doesn't produce a menu. Maybe my computer system is too old.

You'll SEE the bookmark up near the top of the page by the Page Numbers for the thread.

You'll SEE the bookmark up near the top of the page by the Page Numbers for the thread. In my browser you have to mouse over to the left of the thread title and a little box appears. Click to put a check in the box then go to the actions drop down. The bookmark option is there if you have checked a box.

Yes, I DO see it. It just doesn't work most of the time.
edit: Oops. I meant to quote Daj's post not 42's post. But thanks also to 42, although on my computer all that is over on the right hand side. The button is there. Just doesn't work correctly for me.
