I tried to find Heir using information from his websites and clues he left in his posts on BTF, but was unsuccessful. I even searched obituary pages from towns near where Bunny had a pottery store. :sigh: I sure miss his passion for the Constitution.

Renewing driver's license is a real racket now since they've changed the rules and it isn't even good enough to get onboard an airplane or even enter a Federal building of any kind (for who knows what reason).
I'm tired of going through the renewal process every 4 years. I'm tired of renewing my tag every year on every car I own.
And now this REAL ID racket.
Half the people crossing our border illegally don't have to show any proof of being a documented cow. Don't have to sit in another never ending line just to get renewed.
The credentials unit down at the DMV can use your utility bill to identify you if your address changed. WTF? My utility company doesn't know me from Adam.
This system is completely ludicrous!
Some people seriously need to retake their drivers test before getting an extension on their license, but the officers of profit are only worried about raking in more money while wasting your time even if you renew on line. They don't even care about your ability to drive. If you have a bad record, maybe they'll take it away from you. And then there's the joker who drives around without ever getting a license, and even when they sit in front of a judge, there isn't anything to take away from them. They never had it to start with.
There were groups that stated that this whole tag/title/license/registration/insurance racket is really not necessary for conducting everyday commerce.

This is absolutely insane! You can stand in the same 4 hour line to get a temporary license for a nominal fee same day at the DMV in case they can't get your drivers' license within 30 days. Meanwhile, you're not allowed to drive until they get off their damn ass and start producing your drivers' license whether you waste time down at the DMV office or go renew it online, it still comes in the mail from the same place.
And if you have a court date pending because you got pulled over for driving on an expired license, you'll have to wait until you can get your drivers' license to show to the judge before you can even have the ticket reversed.

The bank can hold your funds ransom if you don't provide them with at least a copy of your temporary drivers' license.
But when you get the new one they'll want a copy of that.
How can they get with that?

They're being evasive about answering questions about whether your passport still qualifies to meet Real ID requirements. Just that it is mandatory (but mandates are not law) to have a real ID.
